Frequently asked questions

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Yes — every game has a free version you can play forever, with no signup, no ads, and no email required. If you love a specific game, you can optionally go Pro on it for €2.99 (one-time) to unlock 300%+ more content and harder challenges. That's it.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Just tap a game and play. You only need an account if you buy a Pro game (so we can remember what you've unlocked across devices) or want to track your progress.

What German levels are covered?

Everything from absolute beginner (A1) up to advanced (C1). Each game is tagged by level, and you can filter the grid by Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.

How often are new games added?

A new game roughly every week. Stephan designs and builds them himself — they're a real passion project, not a content farm. Pro members get every new game released in the next 365 days included.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes — the games are built for mobile first. They run in any modern browser (iOS Safari, Android Chrome, desktop), so you can play on the bus, in line at the supermarket, or on the couch. No app to install.

Who's behind Deutschable?

Stephan Brenner — a professional German and English teacher since the early 2000s, teacher trainer, and co-founder of a popular Berlin language school. He builds every game himself and uses them to learn French on the go.
